Grammys

Before launching in to Roxanne, Sting began with the words: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are The Police and we are back." Let's hope for a SLC date!

By the way, isn't Mary J. Blige just gorgeous!?

How about those Dixie Chicks? Talk about having the courage of your convictions! Vindication, at last. Besides, if you can more than competently cover a Stevie Nicks song, asthey did several years ago (i.e., Landslide), then the sky is the limit!!!! At 41 the chorus rings truer than ever:

Well, I've been afraid of changing 'cause I built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older too
Well...

  1. Well, personally, I thought Sting was gorgeous. *big grin*

What fun! I was really, really hoping for "Spirits" or "Cant stand losing". They sounded great though. "Roxanne" is such a classic. (no matter what Frank says)

  2. Hello again.

I have to admit the only reason I had for watching last night, was to see The Police give their reunion performance.

After reading your comment about Mary J. Blige, and knowing you Scott, I knew there was more to that than just the photo of a beautiful woman.

So, thanks to TiVo, I just watched her acceptance speech. It was really wonderful. I don't know anything about her story, but it was so great to hear her share her gratitude with such humility.

I'll be sure to watch the Dixie Chicks performance later.

  3. Scott,
I will join you in prayer for a Police reunion tour date in Salt Lake. That would be AWESOME! (As we used to say back in the 80s.)
