Today Bishop David L. Ricken, 55, of Cheyenne, Wyoming was appointed bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
This move sees the number of sede vacante dioceses in the United States remaining at eight: Cheyenne, Wyoming; St. Louis, Missouri; Gallup, New Mexico; Biloxi, Mississippi; Juneau, Alaska; Charleston, South Carolina; Knoxville, Tennessee; New Ulm, Minnesota.
