Program note

So far 2009 has proven to be a busy year. I have to be honest, these past few months have been rough going for me, but I am starting to emerge. I can't really say when I'll be back to posting more than just a few thoughts and asides, mostly by others, which is fine, even good. I am looking forward to the CL National Diakonia in New York, well, Jersey City (close enough), this weekend. I am so grateful that Fr. Carrón is joining us. I am also looking forward to seeing and hanging out with many friends, renewing acquaintances, and making new friends, all of whom are companions.

I appreciate everyone who reads and comments on this blog. I enjoy writing and interacting. I look forward to clearing some space and returning full force. God is good and invites us, out of love, to share in the goodness, the beauty, and the truth that is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  1. These months have been rough going for me, too. I suspect that little Adam has something to do with your busyness? My friends here -- the ones older than I am -- say my rough time is because I have two teen daughters. I think the phrase they used was: "majorly sucking the life out of you." I don't really feel that way, but perhaps there is a grain of truth to it! Really looking forward to seeing you at Diakonia. I probably won't get in until late on Sunday, but I will look for you after I arrive. I will also speak to Sharon about whether we might organize a breakfast or lunch for bloggers. I'll send you my cell phone number via email.

  2. Suzanne:

I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to the Diakonia. Yes, let's get together, we can at least eat together. We also had a good School of Community this evening, which always helps.

Adam is a bright spot. It's been some internal issues, depression. Things got really bad right before Christmas and kept rolling down hill. New Years Eve was a low point.

Yes, send me your cell. I leave home early Friday morning.

  3. Hey, thinking about "starting to emerge" and "making new friends", we never set up the time to get a cup of coffee.
