Since I blog as a Roman Catholic deacon it is important to note that I do so with knowledge of my bishop and relevant authorities of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, where I live and the Church into which I am incardinated. This does not mean anything I write reflects the views of my bishop, the Diocese of Salt Lake City, or St Olaf's Parish in Bountiful, Utah. Neither does it imply a canonically granted nihil obstat, or an imprimatur. Stated simply, everything that appears here is my responsibility, especially that which turns out to be stupid, inaccurate, or uncharitable.

In the first hour or two after I post an article, I often correct grammatical and spelling errors, as well as make stylistic improvements. During this time I also clarify some of what I write. Afterwards I may correct glaring typos, but leave the substance unchanged. Once in awhile, I may delete a post altogether.
